Happy Birthday Sherry!
Happy Birthday Dear Sherry...Happy Birthday to You...And many More!!!
Our precious daughter celebrated her birthday yesterday. Back when she was born things were really different. Father's weren't allowed in the labor room (her Dad would agree that would have been fine with him as he is the fainting kind :) Father's couldn't even get near their babies until they were out of the hospital... really! So we would view our baby through the nursery window. I'm glad fathers can have a more active role in the wonderful experience of bringing a new little life into the world now.
There were no pregnancy tests you could pick up at the drug store to let you know you were expecting before you visited the doctor. And ultrasound tests were not something that was routinely performed. You didn't know if you were going to have a boy or girl until you actually had the baby. When they told me I had a girl I was very surprised and very delighted.
I like the way they do things now! I was allowed in the delivery room to view one of my grandchildren's birth. What a joy that was!
Back then we may not have had the flexible birthing experiences that are availble now but it wouldn't have changed the joy and excitement we experienced when Sherry was born.
Thank you Sherry for all the love and blessings you have added to our family. May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
We love you sweetheart!
